HOW ARTISAN STARTED
Patrick the Upholsterer has 17+ years of upholstery experience:
10 years in the South of France where he specialized in boats from his portside workshop, 5 years in Alberta with one
of the largest shops (he is still grateful that he had a chance to work beside a multitude of fantastic upholsterers) and
since 2013 he continues to learn in his own shop.
His passion for VW busses, sailboats, old cars and the design aspect and craftsmanship of the trade infuse his work.
His experience and knowledge allow him to creatively solve most custom upholstery quandaries.
Patrick has the good fortune to work with Megan, she is his aide-de-camp keeping solid customer service in place
while managing the multitude of administrative tasks – always with a great big smile.
Working in the shadows, Amanda uses her small business talents to keep the overall picture and finances in order.
To complete the family and offer you a purrrfect warm welcome, you might also find Joy and P'tit Chat hard at work
keeping the mice out of the shop.
The Artisan Upholstery mobile unit is a refurbished school bus, we call it the Cool Bus and it can go anywhere if the
job merits the move! The shop is located 15 minutes out of Edmonton on Highway 14.
Artisan Mobile Upholstery has grown into a new way of doing business. We still have our shop operating on Highway 14, but
since 2015 we are also working with six shops in the Edmonton area and with 10 upholsterers!
Prices don’t change for you, well only a bit lower but no one is complaining. Our mobile sales agent takes care of customer
service and estimates. Upholsterers quote their labour and Artisan compares them to find the fit regarding your timeline and
budget. We then tally up the supplies & labour charges, send you a FIRM estimate (nope, rarely changes…) and keeps you in
the loop all along the process until final delivery of the upholstery project. The qualified hands of the upholsterers concentrate
on doing what they do best: upholstery. While Artisan answers the phone 😉
That is why we focus on getting jobs in and out of the shops in a timely manner.
Working in concert with these new shops and supremely qualified and experienced upholsterers has broadened the range of
services Artisan proposes. We offer you the same outstanding quality, quick turn around or short delivery delay and reliable
